Commissioner Wanda J. Watson has lived in Brazos County 41 years. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington with a BBA, accounting, and Texas A&M University, with an M.Ed., educational administration with a concentration in counseling.
For 32 years, she worked in positions at Texas A&M University, retiring in 2016 as a director in the Office of Admissions of the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine.
Commissioner Watson is also a graduate of both the Brazos Valley Regional Leaders Forum and Leadership Women Texas. Throughout her professional career, she has served in leadership roles in professional organizations, including Leadership Women Texas Alumni Association Board of Directors and its 2002 class representative.
